VANRATH are recruiting a Senior Inventor Lead to work for a leading fit-out contractor, to drive the continued development of their Design for Manufacturing (DfM) processes using Autodesk Inventor and related technologies.

Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of fit-out projects across various sectors including luxury residential, commercial, hotels and specialist joinery projects.

• Facilitate the use of Auto Desk Inventor to support project delivery
• Lead the identification of opportunities to improve and develop Design and Manufacturing capabilities; actively identifying and reviewing new technology, software and solutions relevant to the business
• Manage all aspects of DfM across project design development, from tender to manufacture
• Ensure production information is produced accurately, efficiently and according to programme and budget as well as being compliant with client requirements
• Work with the Production and Operations teams in relation to output such as cutting lists and bills of materials, driving an integrated, digital and automated manufacturing process
• Identify benefits and lessons learnt to enable continuous improvement
• Roll out Inventor training within the Design and production departments

• Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
• Experience in a Joinery / Fitout company is ideal
• A proven track record of experience in a Design for Manufacturing role
• Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor (Woodwork for Inventor desirable)
• Sound knowledge of AutoCAD is ideal
• Experience leading or mentoring teams
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
