Production Operative

Ashton Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Operative to play a key role in our clients business. The successful candidate will ideally be enthusiastic, hardworking and willing to join their team based at Newpark Industrial Estate in Antrim.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Hours:

6:00am to 2:30pm Overtime may be available from time to time. Salary: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.44 after probationary period.

Job Description Assist with loading vans with kitchen and bedroom units. Machine and assemble components for kitchen and bedroom units. Operate various pieces of equipment following appropriate training. Complete any other ad hoc duties requested by the Supervisor that fall within the scope of the role. Wear the required PPE and comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Follow company procedures for reporting sickness and complying with other relevant processes. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Work effectively as part of a team to meet production and delivery requirements.

Essential Criteria :
Eligibility to work in Northern Ireland. Ability to reliably commute to and from the factory. Physically capable of carrying out heavy lifting, which is an integral part of the role. A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work. Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions. Desirable Criteria: A valid forklift licence is desirable but not essential, as training may be available for the right candidate.

Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse or joinery environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
