Position: Assembly Fitter - 4 Day Week

Assembly Fitter - 4 Day Week Our client is seeking an Assembly Fitter to support the mechanical build and production of industrial machinery as part of its continued operational development. The successful Assembly Fitter will join a skilled engineering team, working on varied equipment while getting the opportunity to develope expertise in areas including hydraulics, basic electrical systems and machinery commissioning.

This is a fully onsite role based in Toome, County Antrim, working Monday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm for 38 hours per week. The four day working pattern provides an extended weekend, while the modern workshop environment supports close collaboration, practical learning and high standards of workmanship. The Role:

* Assemble and fit industrial machinery using engineering drawings and bills of materials.
* Install gearboxes, bearings, shafts, guards and conveyors.
* Prepare machinery for internal testing and final inspection.
* Assist with the strip-down, refurbishment and rebuilding of used machinery.
* Use hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
* Complete production check sheets and job documentation accurately.
* Support 5S, waste reduction, quality control and continuous improvement activities.

The Person :
* 2-3 years minimum experience in a mechanical assembly or fitting role.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
* Practical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
* A mechanical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship is desirable but not essential
* Experience with industrial equipment or heavy machinery is highly desirable.
* Forklift, overhead crane or lifting and rigging experience would be advantageous. The Rewards:
