Clean UK Driving Licence required.
Job Objectives and ResponsibilitiesSupport the business by ensuring effective delivery of security operations across multiple sites. Conduct mobile patrols, respond to incidents, log and document them. Serve as a visible deterrent to potential threats, addressing security risks and suspicious activity with sensitivity and respect towards cultural and religious practices.
Main Duties- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, UK law and guidance bodies such as SIA.
- Fully complete all tasks as defined by role specifications.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Induct and train staff, ensuring site officers are trained, compliant, and tested.
- Carry out patrols as stipulated within the AI's (Assignment Instructions).
- Complete site visits and support sites with investigations and reports.
- Escalate incidents or issues when required.
- Conduct site compliance audits.
- Complete daily logs, reports and vehicle inspections.
- Complete required competency training, MITIE and TMC training as requested.
- Undergo additional training as directed by the line manager.
- Full driving licence (vehicle will be provided).
- Strong experience within the security industry.
- SIA licence.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good report‑writing skills.
- Ability to learn and implement Mitie systems.
- Maintain a friendly approach while providing managerial oversight.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and pursue professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Flexible to travel outside designated area on an ad‑hoc basis.
- Follow group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report deficiencies in systems or equipment that may risk service delivery or health and safety.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a threat appears.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations.
- Complete accurate, detailed reports promptly after incidents.
- Ensure check calls are conducted at designated time slots as stipulated in the AI's.
- Previous security experience as lead officer, team leader, supervisor or site manager.
- SIA licence – front line SG/DS/CP, CCTV desirable.
- EDBS required or ability to obtain EDBS.
- Good literacy and communication skills, excellent verbal and written English.
- Computer and software literate.
- Reliability, self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
- Problem solving, decision making and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to transfer motivation to staff.
- Diplomacy and tact in interacting with all levels.
- Self‑confidence and interest in self‑development.
- Interest in continuous improvement of the company’s performance.
- Excellent attendance and time‑keeping record.
