This role will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of warehouse activities while also managing building services, maintenance, contractor coordination, and workplace standards.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including goods receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch
Monitor warehouse KPIs including productivity, inventory accuracy, OTIF, and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and warehouse best practices
Coordinate staffing, shift planning, and resource allocation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse workflows and processes
Manage relationships with logistics providers, suppliers, and operational stakeholders
Support warehouse transformation, relocation, or optimisation projects where required
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the site, buildings, and infrastructure
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities with external contractors and service providers
Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental, and statutory regulations
Manage facilities budgets, supplier performance, and service contracts
Lead site safety initiatives and ensure all facilities-related risks are mitigated
Support office, warehouse, and operational teams with facilities-related requirements
Maintain business continuity plans and oversee emergency response procedures
Profile
Proven experience in warehouse management, facilities management, or combined operational leadership roles
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes
Experience managing facilities services within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments
Knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance standards
Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules, and operational budgets
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced interim assignments
Proficient in WMS, CMMS, or ERP systems
