Recruiting Specialist – Heavy Civil Construction Location

Job SummaryThe Recruiting Specialist partners with hiring managers to deliver full‑cycle recruiting for Arizona operations. You’ll own sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, offers, and candidate experience while also helping build long‑term talent pipelines through schools, community partners, and local networks.
Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle recruiting for Arizona roles across operations, field, and professional staff.
- Partner with hiring managers to align on role requirements, hiring timelines, and recruiting strategy.
- Proactively source candidates using job boards, Linked In, referrals, networking, associations, and direct outreach.
- Conduct phone screens, evaluate fit for heavy civil environments, and move qualified candidates through the interview process quickly.
- Coordinate interviews, communicate updates, and maintain a high‑touch candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance.
- Support workforce planning by tracking open requisitions, pipeline health, and time‑to‑fill metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, trade schools, and community partners; support career fairs and recruiting events.
- Assist with internship and early-career recruiting efforts as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting tools.
- Promote WW Clyde’s culture and values while reinforcing safe, professional hiring practices.
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience, in construction; heavy civil experience strongly preferred.
- Proven success recruiting skilled trades and/or field operations roles in a high‑volume, competitive market.
- Strong sourcing skills (direct outreach, networking, referral generation) and comfort engaging passive candidates.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to build credibility with superintendents, project managers, and other field leaders.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, Linked In Recruiter (or similar), and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally for job fairs, school visits, and project/office visits.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
