Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a new family medicine clinic in Apache Junction, AZ. The practice is looking for someone that is committed to providing the highest quality family medicine, must be self-motivated and compassionate. This new clinic is affiliated with and located inside Heavens Urgent Care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. All documentation is in an electronic health record, must be comfortable with computer charting.

Experience with Athena is an asset. Must have current Arizona license and DEA license in good standing. The successful candidate will provide frontline care to routine and same-day urgent patients of all ages. Experience providing thorough Medicare annual wellness visits is preferred. Medicare and Medicare advantage plans make up the majority of our patient’s insurances. You will work both independently and as part of a team with physicians, medical assistants and other staff.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in primary care
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
