Part time Overnight Shelter Advocate
Pay: $19.35/hour
Schedule :
Saturda y-Sunday, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM Monday 9:00pm - 6:00 am

Job Summary:
The Overnight Shelter Advocate provides trauma-informed, client-centered support and crisis intervention services to individuals and families residing in A New Leaf’s shelter. This role is responsible for ensuring client safety, completing documentation, and helping facilitate access to internal and external resources during overnight hours. The advocate works collaboratively with case managers, outreach staff, and other team members to maintain a secure, welcoming, and organized environment.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred.
- Bilingual verbal communication skills in Spanish, preferred.
Experience:
- Experience working with individuals impacted by domestic violence, homelessness, or economic disadvantage, preferred.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with trauma-informed practices required.
- Knowledge of local and regional community resources.
- Working Conditions/
Physical Requirements: - Primarily shelter-based work with occasional travel to various locations for meetings, client transport, or site visits.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods while assisting clients, performing assessments, and documenting in the shelter.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. for materials, supplies, or client-related items.
