The Connection is a meeting place for local residents in Apeldoorn South. We have various activities including eating together, the lunchroom and creative activities. We are open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

The Connection is located at Hofveld 21-23 in Apeldoorn.

• You are the ears and eyes of the visitors and the volunteers.
• You help visitors to solve problems.
• You stimulate visitors to work with their own talent.
• You work together with other volunteers who devise and organize all kinds of activities.
• You are responsible for the daily affairs of the Connection and for the well-being of the volunteers present.

• You have experience working with and guiding volunteers.
• You can respond to and anticipate questions from visitors.
• You are enthusiastic and accessible, make contacts easily and know how to strike the right chord with visitors.
• Perseverance, being creative and always looking for solutions is your strength.
• You are convinced that every person matters. You take that extra step to reach and activate the visitor.
• You are clear and concise in your oral and written communication.
• You live in Apeldoorn or surroundings.
• You have a Christian philosophy and respect for the purpose of the Salvation Army.
• You have respect for other norms and values.
• You have a HBO working and thinking level.
• You are willing to be available 4 to 8 hours per week.

We offer our volunteers a dynamic workplace and three times a year a moment where the volunteers can meet each other, think along and where we thank the volunteers. In our neighborhood meeting place in South Apeldoorn we have all kinds of activities, including the food distribution on Wednesday afternoons.
