Do you want to be a buddy for someone with a (chronic) illness? Maatjes Apeldoorn!

Maatjes Apeldoorn pairs a buddy with a participant who could use some help. The buddy contact lasts a maximum of one year and is aimed at development.

Do you want to be of significance to someone in your own environment and are you available for 1 to 2 hours every week? As a volunteer of Maatjes Apeldoorn:

• hang out with a participant who could use some extra support.
• you work together on the development of a participant.
• you have empathy, patience and can motivate/stimulate.

Maatjes Apeldoorn is a matchmaker. We are always looking for the perfect match between people who want to support a fellow citizen and Apeldoorn residents who can really use their help. Some duos go for a walk or do sports to clear their minds. Other participants are helped by their buddy to expand their social network or the Dutch language. You read that right: a buddy is not used to do fun things alone.

Fun and personal contact are the priority - always.
