Responsibilities
- Restoration of books from the collection of the Nature and Outdoor Life Hub, the study center of Aardbalans.
- Rebinding books with low condition status (indicate in database)
- Books with a broken cover or damaged cover provided with a new, hard cover
- Laminate or provide a hard cover if the frequency of use gives rise to this
- Checking (frequently) used books for any defects
- Digital updating of condition status
- Interim evaluation in consultation with the librarian
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level (preferably successfully completed a book restoration course)
- Familiar with different techniques of book restoration [hard requirement]
- Extensive experience with covers, lamination and restoration of books
- Be able to work accurately
- Being able to think critically
- Affinity with Dutch nature

- Volunteer contract for the duration of 1 year (extension possible), after a probationary period of 1 month
