About the role

Do you want to make a difference for young people? If you are enthusiastic, patient and willing to invest time in young people, we invite you to become a volunteer coach at Hfftig.

If you find it rewarding to help young people who are unsure how to get started, you possess coaching skills and a willingness to dedicate time, you are very welcome as a coach at Hfftig.

• Open attitude and clear communication
• Ability to understand young people and their world of experience
• Ability to act in accordance with the wishes, standards and values of the young person
• Capability to motivate and stimulate the other
• Commitment to key values such as safety, taking time and offering trust

• Work with a young person to create and pursue goals in planning for school, working towards independence and independent living, social skills and self‑confidence
• Support the young person in all agreed goals and provide regular feedback and encouragement
• Participate in initial training for coaches and attend intervision meetings a few times a year

Hfftig is there for Apeldoorn young people who could use a helping hand. We link young people to a voluntary coach, and together they work towards the goals that have been set in advance. Every young person who wants to work on his or her goals together with a coach can register with Hfftig.
