Classroom Assistant; voluntary

As a classroom assistant, you guide students during integration lessons. You support the teacher.

As a classroom assistant, you’ll guide students through integration classes. You’ll support the teacher, so you’re not personally responsible for the lesson content. In small groups or one‑on‑one, you’ll work on assignments and encourage refugees to speak Dutch. This way you’ll help refugees progress.

As a classroom assistant, you possess excellent communication skills. You enjoy encouraging and motivating students, individually or in small groups. You can convey information clearly, are patient and respectful, and are adept  are available for at least half a day per week, preferably for a period of one year. We require a Certificate of Good Conduct from all our staff.

The Netherlands Council for Refugees is committed to protecting refugees and helping them build a new life. We do this at asylum seekers' centres and in the municipality.
