Looking for a caretaker / sexton for the Vierhuis

The Vierhuis is located at the residential care park 's Heeren Loo in Apeldoorn, a multifunctional building that hosts meetings, training, church services and storytelling sessions for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. About 150 people attend our storytelling service and 400 attend the worship service each Sunday.

Responsibilities

As sexton/caretaker you will:

  • Prepare the venue together with the host, ensuring microphones, chairs, literature on the screen are ready.
  • Provide coffee and refreshments to guests in the foyer after services.
  • Identify and solve problems that arise in collaboration with the team.
  • Rotate with other sextons and serve approximately once a month.
  • Meet with the team four times a year and receive a memo before each service.
  • Interact confidently with clients and relatives and support the smooth running of services at 10:30 am every Sunday.
Requirements

  • A certificate of good conduct (requested through 's Heeren Loo, free of charge).
  • Respect for all clients' faiths and the ability to provide a positive service.
  • Problem‑solving skills and a willingness to work with a diverse team.

Within 's Heeren Loo, volunteers make a valuable contribution by providing personal attention and additional activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Volunteers may take walks, play games or simply chat while enjoying a cup of coffee.

We require a certificate of good conduct from all volunteers, which is provided for free by the organization.
