Meet & Eat for refugees on Christmas Eve

Meet & Eat: do you have a place available at the table for a resident of the asylum seekers' centre on Christmas Eve?

You receive two (or more) refugees at the table and you eat together. Eating together connects, the meeting helps in the integration and so much more understanding is created on both sides.

We organize Meet & Eat for AZC locations;
Apeldoorn and Beekbergen:

• AZC Apeldoorn, Deventerstraat 461. Here 400 people from different countries stay. People alone, but also families.
• AZC Beekbergen, Schalterdalweg 18, Beekbergen. Here 160 people from different countries stay. People alone, but also families.

To make this evening possible, we are looking for host families who live in and around Apeldoorn. On Christmas Eve, December 24, you pick up the people at 5:00 PM at the reception of the AZC and take them home. You can cook for them, but you can also prepare the Christmas meal together. Afterwards, you bring the guests back to the AZC.

On the registration form you can indicate at which location you want to pick up residents. You can also indicate how many people you want to receive, whether a family is welcome or only adults. Based on all registrations we try to make the best possible 'match'. You will receive information about this by email in the week before Christmas.

Do you have time to carry out a short-term project (a day or half a day) together with others in places where it is needed most? Then register with Present as a flex worker! You always carry out a job together with other flex workers.
