Volunteer Protected

MIEZAAN is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer for our protected living project at various locations in Apeldoorn. You will support our young residents in a range of daily activities and essential support tasks.

• Support residents with daily activities such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and garden maintenance.
• Escort or transport residents to emergency services or treatment.
• Stimulate social interaction and maintain social contacts.
• Think along and organize activities that contribute to the well‑being of our young residents.
• Attend team meetings and/or consult with healthcare professionals to tailor support to the needs of our residents.
• Report details and developments to healthcare professionals.
• Provide extra support by accompanying walks in the woods or exercising, using the free Basic Fit pass.

• Affinity with the target group and a willingness to learn about psychological and social problems.
• Flexibility and employability for at least 4 hours per week.
• Reliability and a sense of responsibility.
• Good communication skills and respect for residents' privacy.
• A VOG statement is mandatory.
• In possession of a driving license BE and, ideally, own transport.
• Having a second right hand for the most common household and garden jobs is an advantage.
