Wanted: test drivers for Doortrap routes in Apeldoorn
The Fietsersbond is looking for older cyclists to test a new Doortrap route in the municipality of Apeldoorn. Stairway routes are cycle routes of 20 to 25 kilometres; beautiful, green, on reasonably wide paths, with few obstacles and on relatively safe roads and intersections. To check whether cyclists experience the route as attractive and safe, the Fietsersbond asks older cyclists to cycle the route and give their opinion about it.
You can cycle the route from 2 to 4 November. We invite you to cycle with your family, friends or, for example, your cycling club. Not only is that more fun, but the more testers sign up, the better the routes will be!
Sign up and have a chance to win a gift voucher
Would you like to try out a route? Then register with the Fietsersbond, via (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Do not forget to mention in which municipality you want to cycle. You will then receive information about the test days, a description of the route you want to test and a link to a questionnaire where you can give your opinion about the route. We raffle a gift voucher of 20 euros per route among the test cyclists.
Doorstep routes are made by the Fietsersbond on behalf of the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel, as part of the national Doortrappen programme. The aim of this program is to ensure that the elderly continue to cycle safely for as long as possible. This year nine Doortrap routes are being developed in the municipalities of Apeldoorn, Lochem, Oldenzaal, Raalte, Renkum, Rheden, Rijssen-Holten, Voorst and Zevenaar.
The routes are primarily intended for seniors, but of course anyone can cycle them.
