LSE LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

HOURLY RATE: $20.00hour
WORK LOCATION: Fire Admin

SCHEDULE: 19hours per week
CLOSING DATE: October 19th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Aperson in this position performs responsible inventory maintenance and supply distribution for the Apex Fire Department. Ensures appropriate resources are provided to each of the department's facilities and personnel ensuring effective daily operations. This position is responsible for stocking and inventorying materials, supplies and equipment for the Fire Department;receiving and verifying orders; arranging inventory in an organized approach;loading and unloading deliveries, maintaining the necessary records and reportsto support accurate inventory control, and the delivery of necessary supplies to each of the department facilities.

Work requires accuracy and thoroughness in the record keeping duties, knowledge of on-hand inventory, and tact when dealing with the members of the department. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Administrative Logistics Coordinator and is reviewed throughon-site instructions, adherence to established inventory control practices and observation.

• Assists with maintaining computerized inventory of materials and supplies in the fire department.
• Collects supply orders of various types and gathers the requested supplies based upon departmental guidelines.
• Delivers supplies to each of the department's facilities to ensure that each facility has the necessary supplies and materials to carry out effective and efficient operations.
• Ensures that supplies and materials are kept in an orderly manner that supports accurate inventory control and the efficient processing of orders.
• Assists the Logistics Coordinator with the acquisition of supplies and materials on an "as needed" basis.
• Performs related duties as required.

High school diploma or GED, Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license(Class

C)

• Current and Valid North Carolina Class B commercial driver's license
• Experience in inventory control.
• Warehouse or stockroom experience.
• General knowledge of supplies and materials utilized in a fire department.
