We’re expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Environmental Educator to help shape the future of environmental learning for both students and professionals across the U.S.

About the Role

In this mid-level, in-office position, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, science-based programs both locally and nationwide. This is a great fit for someone newer to the field who’s eager to grow into a rewarding and impactful career in environmental education.

Starting Salary Range: $45,000–$55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

️ Responsibilities

• Teach adult learners enrolled in Swamp School’s professional training programs
• Assist in curriculum development for new and existing classes
• Collaborate with the team on program updates, hands-on learning, and digital content
• Travel to on-site training locations across the U.S. (all travel is scheduled and supported)
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Education, or a related field
• Experience teaching middle/high school science or leading nature center programs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable teaching adults in both in-person and virtual formats
• A teaching license is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to travel (some overnight travel required)
• A passion for ecology, wetlands, conservation, and environmental stewardship
