Candidate will be responsible for the design and development of automated inspection, measurement, and test systems. This includes component selection, schematics, testing, troubleshooting, schedule adherence, cost, performance, and quality. Applications must be able to interact well with clients during all phases of the system integration process. This position requires some travel but is centered around the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.
Job Requirements- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to use schematic capture tools
- Solid understanding of data acquisition fundamentals (e.g., plug‑in data acquisition cards, RS232, GPIB, PXI devices and signal conditioning of various sensors)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including using a multimeter, oscilloscope, and soldering iron
- Willingness to contribute ideas and work closely with Software Engineering and Fabrication staff
- Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge and skills
- Ability to multi‑task and take initiative
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Fixture design skills
- Familiarity using National Instruments hardware and Lab View software
Candidates should be enthusiastic and self‑motivated with an interest in real computer applications and must be able to interact well with clients during all phases of the system integration process.
