Are you a strategic and hands‑on leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our growing company in the Construction Trades. This role requires a proactive leader with 10+ years of executive‑level experience who can drive efficiency, enhance profitability, and cultivate a strong, values‑driven culture. Candidates with prior experience successfully scaling a company is also needed.

Key Responsibilities- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and execution.
- Play a pivotal role in defining and executing strategic initiatives that align with our company vision and long‑term goals.
- Leverage prior experience in scaling businesses to drive sustainable growth and expansion.
- Implement systems to improve operational excellence, accountability, and alignment throughout.
- Optimize gross profit efficiency across departments, ensuring operational effectiveness and cost control.
- Implement and hold all operations personnel accountable to activity KPI’s.
- Analyze business operations to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to maximize profitability.
- Oversee the management and performance of projects to ensure budgets and actuals are aligned.
- Direct the entire customer acquisition and fulfillment pipeline to drive revenue and brand reputation.
- Lead Generation:
Oversee marketing efforts, customer relationship management, and brand reputation strategies. - Lead Conversion:
Ensure effective estimating and sales processes to optimize conversion rates. - Client Fulfillment:
Streamline procurement, project management, field operations, and project closeout to guarantee client satisfaction. - Customer Satisfaction:
Maintain high levels of customer experience through continuous process improvement and engagement strategies.
- Lead Generation:
- Lead and develop a high‑performing workforce by overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth within the organization.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Work with Human Resources team to ensure HR policies and labor regulations to mitigate risks and enhance workplace morale.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, preferably within construction or a related trade.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership capable of achieving company vision benchmark to reach $100M in revenue within 8 years.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on profitability, efficiency, and process improvement.
- Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to mentor, inspire, and hold teams accountable.
- Deep understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and liability insurance loss runs.
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with marketing, sales optimization, and customer experience strategies.
- Proven track record in scaling businesses, managing rapid growth, and implementing scalable operational processes.
- Strong ability to drive organizational structure, accountability, and process improvements.
- Experience in B2B and B2C operations and working on the trades side of contracting is highly valued.
