Overview
The cashier position is critical to the daily success of the restaurant. It’s a guest facing job; often the first touch point with the guest beyond the “Welcome to Firehouse” greeting.
Responsibilities- Greet guests and ensure a positive guest experience.
- Handle guest orders accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient use of the POS system and maintain accuracy of the cash drawer.
- Communicate effectively with guests, address questions and concerns professionally.
- Maintain an organized, stocked, and sanitary work space.
- Able and willing to complete other restaurant functions such as food preparation or cleaning, per management direction, or any other duties assigned by the general manager, assistant manager, or shift leader.
- Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all established food safety guidelines.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Participates in all Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation fundraising initiatives.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong menu and product knowledge.
- Accountable for the accuracy of the guest’s order and the cash drawer.
- Able to communicate effectively with guests and handle questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Team player with a courteous, guest-first attitude.
- Excellent customer service and a willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation: $8.00-$10.00/hr
