AV Technician

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Pay Range: $28-$33/hour

Duration: 4-month contract to hire

This role is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining AV integrated systems—including audio, video, and control equipment. The Level III Tech will also manage field operations for assigned projects, including oversight of Level I and II techs.

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage and fiber optic cabling
• Route cabling through conduits and ceilings as per job specifications
• Read technical schematics and manuals
• Build and test AV equipment racks
• Ensure all project tools, hardware, and materials are available
• Label cables properly and make red-line changes when needed
• Handle DSP changes and control code loads
• Maintain high quality and safety standards
• Submit paperwork and weekly status reports on time
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in non-climate-controlled or construction environments
• Regular climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling required
• Ability to use hand tools and coordinate physical movements over long periods
