Overview

Our client is a trusted and growing concrete-cutting and selective-demolition contractor serving commercial and industrial clients throughout the Raleigh–Durham region and surrounding areas. They are known for safety, integrity, and quality workmanship, offering services including flat sawing, wall and wire sawing, core drilling, hand-sawing, selective demolition, and concrete removal and repair.

This position involves performing concrete sawing, drilling, cutting, and selective demolition services. The role requires operating a wide range of diamond and demolition tools, transporting and maintaining equipment, completing jobsite documentation, and upholding company standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

$24.00/hr - $30.00/hr

• Safety:
  Follow safety standards, procedures, and legal regulations at all times; enforce PPE and OSHA compliance with less experienced coworkers; conduct Job Hazard Analysis on each job; review safety plan for respirator use when required; assess safety risks in extreme environments; report near misses; operate vehicles and equipment safely; learn safe use of equipment and body positioning; ensure tools and guarding are used correctly.
• Truck, Equipment Operation & Job Execution:
  Transport equipment between yard and job sites; operate concrete sawing and demolition tools; perform cuts and drills according to job specifications; review work area for tools before leaving site.
• Truck and Equipment Maintenance:
  Conduct equipment inspections and daily preventive maintenance; troubleshoot issues and communicate with shop and dispatch mechanism; manage tools assigned to vehicles; keep equipment organized and secure on site.
• Documentation & Administration:
  Turn in receipts promptly; complete field tickets; report measurements; communicate job status and delays to dispatch/field management; document job photos before and after work; obtain customer signatures when required; respond to administration requests timely; utilize CenPoint for time tracking.
• Professional Development:
  Participate in training; learn to use special tools for unique jobs; manage expendables usage; maintain professional truck appearance.
• Communication & Coordination:
  Read task notes to determine needed equipment; participate in job status reviews; provide feedback on field performance and schedule adherence; document delays or site challenges; assist estimator with field feedback; communicate discrepancies between requested work and estimates in a timely manner; respond to dispatch/field manager and estimator in a timely manner (use headsets).
• Client & Quality Focus:
  Act as point-of-contact for site-level client interactions; follow standard operating procedures for changes of scope; prioritize customer needs and tailor task order accordingly; leave the work area in a satisfactory, professional condition when complete.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficiency with diamond or demolition tools such as wall saw, core drill, flat saw, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools
• Minimum 1 year of core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal experience
• Strong mechanical abilities; safety oriented; self-motivated; problem solving and time management skills
• Willing to work hard, dependable and reliable; able to work as a team; career-oriented; eager to learn
• Able to lift and move 45 lbs or more; willing to work in adverse weather conditions
• Mathematical aptitude and willingness to train in measurements and calculations
