Hematology​/Oncology Physician

Overview

Advent Health Cancer Institute and Advent Health Medical Group are seeking a dynamic and compassionate board-certified or board-eligible hematology oncologist to join our growing team at Advent Health Apopka. This position will focus on treating adults and offers a unique opportunity to practice with a cancer system ranked in the top 4% in the Nation for cancer care according to US News and world report that prioritizes whole-person care, innovation, and clinical excellence.

We are looking for a physician who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Our team consists of physicians that treat blood cancers, brain and spine cancers, breast cancer, GI cancers, gyn onc, head and neck cancers, lung and esophageal cancers, pediatric cancer and urologic cancers. For treatment purposes, we have access to chemotherapy, imaging, immunotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery.

In addition to those, we participate in more than 175 clinical trials each year!

Candidate Requirements:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Oncology
• Eligibility for Florida medical license
• Current, valid BLS and ACLS required
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
• Fellowship-trained preferred

Advent Health Apopka is an acute-care 120 bed community hospital located in Orange County, just a short drive from Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1975, we provide a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services, ranging from critical care to specialized emergency medicine.
