Job title:
Behavior Therapist I at Dream Big Children's Center.
Reports to:
Behavior Consultant. FLSA Classification:
Part-time, non-exempt or Full-time, non-exempt.
The Behavior Therapist I will provide early intervention and ABA therapy in a naturalistic, positive, fun manner, develop a rapport and relationship with each assigned child and their family, and will implement goals and behavior plans as developed by the BCBA and Behavior Consultant.
Responsibilities- To implement behavior therapy with children diagnosed with autism and related developmental disabilities and with their families as part of a clinical team.
- To build relationships and make learning fun for each child.
- To implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by the behavior consultant and BCBA.
- To target skills goals as directed by the behavior consultant and clinical supervisor.
- To work with parents on teaching skills goals.
- To collect data on the child s behaviors and progress with goals as directed by the clinical supervisor.
- To collaborate with the clinical team during team meetings.
- To attend and participate in on-going trainings, in-service sessions, and other meetings as scheduled.
- To log all hours worked, obtain signatures from authorized guardians and submit timesheets on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the Center, including cleaning up areas upon completion of each session.
- Responsible for leading group ABA.
This position requires working in the client’s homes, schools and at Dream Big Children’s Center. Some environments are not controlled by the company. The company will work with employees and clients to make the work environment as comfortable as possible, but some conditions are beyond the company’s control. If uncomfortable, employees may request to be transferred to another client. Dream Big will not require employees to work in any environment in which they do not feel comfortable.
Physicalrequirements
Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, running, squatting, bending over, kneeling and sitting on the floor.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred, or enrollment in degree program leading to a degree in psychology or related field.
- Experience working with children with autism in educational or therapy setting for at least 6 months.
- Complete TB test and livescan clearance.
