American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience, Epic proficiency, and a CA RN license.

• Work in a general Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients in a non-trauma setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) with a 12:00 PM start time
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, and may exceed this to meet unit needs
• No call or float requirements
• Block scheduling accommodation at manager discretion

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (CPI, MAB, OCN, and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE

• Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Free parking available
• Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
• First-time travelers are considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel contractor
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration
