Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional Senior you will:

  • Assist in assessing individuals’ needs and perform direct care duties.
  • Develop and implement individualized residential and habilitation support plans, including goals and methods.
  • Evaluate and document outcomes, maintain or modify plans, and perform related work as required.
  • Respond therapeutically using de‑escalation strategies and positive behavior supports Into individuals with challenging behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co‑occurring diagnoses.
  • Experience with verbal de‑escalation strategies and working with individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors.

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform all physical/essential requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cultural responsiveness experience with diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience collecting and summarizing data to document program delivery.
  • Formal training/certification/education in related fields (CNA, PCA, Child Development, First Aid, CPR, etc.).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a group home, nursing home, assisted living, or similar setting.
  • Experience working with youth having mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or اہلِ behavioral challenges.
