Overview
Base pay range: $24.69/hr - $37.03/hr this position will require receiving, testing and evaluation of warranty returns through data entry, photo-documentation, testing triage, sample preparation, testing, analysis, filing, storage, and any related organizational tasks. The technician will also perform other relevant product quality tasks such as basic technical recommendations and/or testing related tasks. Responsible for keeping lab areas clean and organized.
Responsibilities- Receive, conduct, and document claim/warranty return evaluations using methods such as visual, dimensional, analytical, and functionality tests. Apply material and failure analysis techniques to determine functionality state and/or cause of failure. Communicate evaluation results to internal stakeholders within product quality and the warranty group.
- Enter data into the Warranty Management System; file, store, and organize claims. Assist with basic technical recommendations for the warranty team claim determinations.
- Participate in Quality Investigations and/or alerts, including special testing, inspection, root cause and failure analysis, and related activities.
- Contribute to business success by proactively participating in team initiatives and process improvements.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong working knowledge of software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and advanced organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good cross-functional communication skills and interpersonal abilities; capable of collaborating across functions.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with lab testing methodologies, tools, and processes; ability to document test steps and results clearly and in detail.
- Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to quality.
- Direct knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with various machines (e.g., extrusion, molding, or machining).
