About the Role:

The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our food service establishment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests. This position involves the thorough cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to support smooth kitchen operations. The Dishwasher contributes to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by promptly removing used items and restocking clean supplies, which helps maintain a steady workflow.

Attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations are essential to prevent contamination and uphold the establishment’s reputation. Ultimately, the Dishwasher’s efforts directly impact customer satisfaction by enabling the kitchen team to focus on food preparation and service without interruption.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated reliability with regular and punctual attendance.
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual methods as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors, to comply with health and safety standards.
  • Sort and properly dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Assist kitchen staff by restocking clean dishes and utensils in designated areas to ensure availability during service hours.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic work environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly to avoid disruptions in service.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and demonstrate flexibility to accommodate varying shift demands, including weekends and holidays.
