Job Overview

Underground Utility Locator – Vannguard Utility Partners, Inc. This position is part of our Training Class. Salary ranges from $21.00 to $25.00 per hour. The role is located in Apple Valley, MN. Ideal candidates are self‑motivated, enjoy working outdoors, and possess strong computer skills. We will train the right individual committed to safety, detail orientation, and pride in completing a job well done.

• Drive to sites in response to routine requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilize mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities, including electrical cables, gas lines, and other. Indicate utility locations using paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel.
• Maintain vehicle and all issued equipment.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to the established rotation schedule.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills.
• Valid driver's license in applicable state.
• Ability to work overtime if duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule.
