Tire Technician at DOBBS TIRE & AUTO CENTERS
Pay Range: $15.00/hr - $17.00/hr (Base pay)

Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers is dedicated to supporting the company’s mission, vision, and values. Our company, founded in 1976, offers complete auto care solutions across over 100 locations. The Tire Technician role involves mounting, balancing, rotating tires, repairing flats, performing minor vehicle maintenance, inventory management, and maintaining shop cleanliness.
Roles and Responsibilities- Mount & dismount tires; inspect damaged, defective, or flat tires to determine repair feasibility.
- Perform tire repairs, balancing, and rotation on a variety of vehicles.
- Conduct minor automotive maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and accessory replacement.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment using approved methods and solvents.
- Drive customer vehicles into and out of the service bay and provide shuttle service when needed.
- Receive, inventory, and properly store tires based on size and type; stack and organize storage areas.
- Inspect tire casings and accurately categorize them as reusable or scrap.
- Deliver tires to other service locations as needed and complete additional tasks or assignments as directed.

- Frequent exposure to varying temperatures due to the nature of the work and shop conditions.
- Regular contact with automotive chemicals, including solvents, lubricants, and fluids used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting tires or equipment.
- Requires adherence to all safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Involves teamwork, reliability, and effective communication to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service are essential for success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Drivers’ Licenses.
