Direct Sales Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

Support and assist the Direct Sales Manager by managing the day-to-day activities of the Direct Sales Department.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Meet and exceed budgeted sales goals.
• Supervise a team of Direct Sales staff and service partner personnel, including Sales Representatives and other sales resources as assigned.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train Direct Sales staff.
• Support of Direct Sales staff will consist of approximately 70% field work and 30% office work.
• Communicate territory assignments to residential sales representatives.
• Monitor the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate approval of all commissions payments.
• Handle employee relations issues, including performance appraisals, coaching, and safety training.
• Assist with budget preparation and provide input on marketing issues and sales offers.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle, including during inclement weather.
• Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weather.
• Familiarity with computer operating systems, consumer and commercial communication devices, and software applications.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Occasionally required to work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and auto insurance as per company standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Direct Sales practices.
• Experience with consumer education of products and services.
• Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
• Related work experience in field and office environments.
• Experience working outdoors with exposure to weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel as required.
