Community Builders Childcare in Appleton, WI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities:- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations, safety protocols, and center policies
- Assist with meal times, nap times, and daily routines
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, and genuinely passionate about child development
- Ability to pass a background check per Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
