Overview
Adjunct Instructor - Nursing Assistant at Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC).
Location:
Appleton Main Campus. Hours per week: 8.75. FVTC celebrates diversity, supports equity and inclusiveness, and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
Adjunct Instructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the ongoing development of instructional strategies that promote student success.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are essential for this position. Employees must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Learning Facilitation - Foster student learning by developing instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support student engagement. Use learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies to maximize student success, such as hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online course delivery.
- Assessment - Assess student learning and provide regular feedback. Use data to measure quality outcomes related to course success and learning, and implement improvement strategies based on evidence.
- Classroom Management - Maintain assigned schedule, accurate student attendance and grade records, and a safe instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and support student engagement evaluation.
- Team Participation - Support the college by engaging with the department and staying current with internal and external changes and initiatives.
- Business & Community Engagement - Build and maintain relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners. Promote the College and our programs.
- Student Success & Support - Serve as an advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services staff to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students be successful.
- Professional Development - Continually improve knowledge and skills in emerging trends, current occupational practices and teaching through professional development activities, and maintain required credentials to support program accreditation.
- Curriculum Development - Develop curriculum and instructional materials that are competency-based, current, aligned with employer expectations, and compliant with college documentation requirements.
