Head Start Early Childhood Education Assistant & Substitute Teachers (Continuous Recruitment)

University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh – Temporary (Fixed Term) position within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, a federally funded preschool program serving low‑income families. The program works with 384 children and their families across seven centers in five counties.

Compensation
:
Assistant – $15.35/hr to $16.20/hr;
Substitute – $15.35/hr to $19.65/hr new hires working 21+ hours per week receive a $500 bonus after 90 days; those working 20 hours or less receive a $250 bonus.

• Maintain safety and physical well‑being of children at all times and in all environments.
• Build collaborative partnerships with children, staff, and parents to identify goals, strengths, and needed services.
• Assist with early childhood education related tasks.
• Implement individualized and developmental educational plans for children.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to take written and verbal instruction.

• Experience working effectively with young children.
