Summary:

Adjunct Instructors facilitate student learning, develop instructional strategies, and promote student success.

• Learning Facilitation:
  Foster student learning by developing instructional strategies that meet diverse student needs across hybrid, in-person, and virtual delivery.
• Assessment:
  Assess student learning, provide regular feedback, and use data to measure outcomes.
• Classroom Management:
  Maintain accurate attendance, grades, safety, and equipment security.
• Team Participation:
  Engage with the department and stay current with internal initiatives.
• Business & Community Engagement:
  Build relationships with community and industry partners.
• Student Success & Support:
  Advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services.
• Professional Development:
  Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain accreditation requirements.
• Curriculum Development:
  Develop competency‑based curriculum and instructional materials aligned with employer expectations.

• Completion of a Nail Technician program focused on Wisconsin state licensure.
• Minimum of 4,000 hours in the field within the last five years.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• A current Wisconsin Nail Technician license is required.
• Current knowledge of nail techniques, equipment, and sanitation requirements.
• Knowledge of current licensing requirements and Wisconsin statutes and administrative codes.
• Understand the role of Nail Technicians within a salon team.
• Qualified per FVTC requirements at time of hire and throughout employment.
• Must meet and maintain HLC and Faculty Quality Assurance Standards.

• Current Wisconsin Nail Technician license.
• Proficiency utilizing a learning management system.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing demands.
• Background check including criminal record history.

• Flexibility and mobility for cosmetology techniques.
• Lifting and carrying light to moderate items up to 25 pounds.
• Fine motor skills for instructional technology use.
• Repetitive motions without discomfort.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel may be required for professional development.

• Hybrid environment (in person, virtual, online) depending on course delivery.
• Classroom setting.
