Lead Engineer, Test

Excellerate Appleton Product Development Lab is seeking a Lead Engineer, Test to design and execute product test programs across electrical, mechanical, and software domains. The role requires accurate data capture, test report creation, and team leadership.

• Lead creation of product test plans and coordinate execution.
• Prepare technical reports, quotations, and presentations.
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and training.
• Identify and diagnose malfunctions, directing necessary repairs.
• Mitigate project risks and develop solutions.
• Research, create, and update testing standards.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of product testing experience; experience with AC/DC power sources, battery systems, and lab equipment.
• Background in microgrids, DER, power distribution, and battery energy storage.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
• Experience with ERP, PDM/PLM, and project management preferred.
• Leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
• Proficiency with Python, Rust, TwinCAT, Modbus, CAN, Ether
  
  CAT preferred.

Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM. 5–10% travel.
