Industrial Engineer – Material Flow Engineer
The Material Flow Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing material handling systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective flow of materials within the production environment. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and process engineering.
Responsibilities- Develop strategies for efficient material flow in production and warehouse operations.
- Conduct flow analyses to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Design layouts for conveyance systems, storage solutions, and workstations.
- Implement customized packaging, storage, and deployment solutions to maximize space and efficiency.
- Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to reduce waste and increase throughput.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement changes.
- Use analytics tools to assess performance metrics related to material flow.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Lead material flow improvement projects, managing budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source equipment and technology.
- Ensure all material handling processes meet safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Train staff on new material handling systems and procedures.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role focused on materials/material introduction
- Knowledge of 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred)
- Knowledge of lean principles and processes
- Experience leading complex projects and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for industrial‑sized products
1st Shift Monday to Friday. The floor personnel work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The expectation is that the majority of the engineer's shift overlaps with this, but they can decide their working hours. The team includes 1 VP and 4 Directors (Engineering & Operations, Quality, Materials, and After Market). Collaboration with the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering teams is expected.

Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000.00 – $ per year.
• Eligible to participate in the insurance plan on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment.
• 120 hours of Paid Time Off effective immediately upon hire; PTO used within the first 90 days will be recouped from the final paycheck.
• Seven paid holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
• Culture of Care: two hours of paid time off each month for self‑care, training, and/or professional health services.
• Discretionary 401(k) match: 50% of the first 6% of your employee contribution, after 30 days of employment.
