I am a passionate Recruiter who is overjoyed when I am able to link people with their dream job!Our client is seeking a Leads Controls Systems Engineer to design, program, and commission industrial automation systems for extrusion plastics and converting equipment. This role focuses on PLC, HMI, motion control, and temperature control systems. This role will require up to 30% travel as needed with possibly more during the training phase.
Responsibilities- Design and program PLC, HMI, drive, and temperature control systems
- Support projects from concept through commissioning and startup
- Create electrical schematics, parts lists, and technical documentation
- Perform system startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Serve as a technical expert in assigned technologies - Support or lead customer training as needed
- Participate in limited after-hours and on-call support (2–3 weeks/year)
Drives & Motion:
Rockwell Power Flex, SSD
Temperature Controls:
Eurotherm, RKC
Electrical Design:
AutoCAD, EPLAN
Standards: NEC, NFPA 70/79, UL, ANSI
Required Qualifications- Associate degree or experience in Automation, Controls, or Motion Control
- 10+ years of controls engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
- Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers
- AutoCAD, EPLAN, and/or Solid Works proficiency
