Your impact
This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.
As a Senior Structural Engineer professional within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and more. You will be performing various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing your familiarity with design methods and tools.
You’ll be a key asset, contributing to and collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects of varying sizes. You’ll liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery, and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices, both domestic and international.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow technically and professionally as you gain more experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of structural analyses.
- Create computer models for structures.
- Execute calculations for member designs and foundations, prepare material take‑offs, miscellaneous calculations, assist with schedules, and other related tasks.

Key Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as Auto Cad, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design code and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Teams for remote coordination.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
