Position Requirements

Experience:
• High School Diploma and extensive hands-on experience in a related technical manufacturing/ hobbyiest role.
• Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Prior experience with additive manufacturing (AM) technologies and processes, preferred.
• Prior experience with additive manufacturing (AM) technologies and processes, preferred. FDM / SLA / UV focused.
• Prior experience with electronics technologies, preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and maintain complex industrial systems.
• Highly computer literate; must be able to multitask across multiple systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting operating manuals, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with 3D CAD software is a plus!
• (Full-time) Ability to translate 2D drawings into 3D models.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs - bending required to load printers. Must be able to move in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information / Benefits
Lux Layers opened in May 2025 and remains the leader in hobbyist 3D printing stores in Wisconsin. Retail includes printers from multiple manufacturers, filament, replacement parts, scanners, and accessories.
