Position: Credit Analyst 1

Are you the kind of person who likes numbers to make sense, enjoys digging into financial statements, and finds satisfaction in a well-built spreadsheet? If so, this may be a great place to start your banking career. We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our credit team. This role is ideal for someone with an analytical mindset—curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working behind the scenes to help the bank make sound lending decisions.

What

You’ll Do
  • Review business and personal financial information, including tax returns, financial statements, credit reports, and related loan documents.
  • Prepare credit presentations, cash flow analysis, financial spreads, and other reports used in the loan approval process.
  • Analyze balance sheets, income statements, trends, ratios, collateral values, repayment capacity, and overall credit risk.
  • Work closely with lenders, credit officers, and loan support staff to gather information and complete accurate, timely analysis.
  • Maintain organized credit files and support annual reviews, renewals, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Learn the bank’s credit policies, procedures, loan documentation standards, and regulatory expectations.
What We’re Looking For
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Coursework or internship experience involving accounting, financial statement analysis, or business analytics.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, well-organized work.
  • Comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, reports, and financial documents.
  • Good judgment, curiosity, and the ability to ask thoughtful questions when something does not add up.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
This Role May Be a Good Fit If You
  • Enjoy accounting, financial analysis, and understanding the story behind the numbers.
  • Enjoy focused, analytical work that supports sound credit decisions.
  • Like structure, accuracy, documentation, and solving problems using facts and data.
  • Want to build a strong foundation in credit and risk analysis
  • Are interested in a career path that could grow into senior credit analysis, credit administration, portfolio management, loan review, or risk management.
