Join to apply for the Respite Provider role at Community Horizons
Schedule & HoursSaturday/Sunday 4:00 AM–5:30 PM (flexible)
Responsibilities- Plan and lead fun, safe outings for one child at a time (e.g., local parks, museums, swimming, trampoline parks).
- Provide transportation using your own vehicle (local travel only and mileage reimbursed @ $0.70/mile).
- Offer supervision and gentle support during outings.
- Use de‑escalation skills when needed.
- Support each child in exploring the community at their own pace.
- Create a calm and encouraging space for self‑expression.
- Experience working with children or adults with developmental or behavioral needs (Autism, ADHD, ODD, etc.).
- Comfortable working 1:1 and following each child’s unique routine.
- Calm, dependable, and open to learning.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to use for outings.
- Able to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check.
- Experience working with Autistic Children preferred.
Someone who enjoys being active and outdoors.
