Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations, determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results.
About the role: The specialist works under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician, follows Bio Life Medical Affairs guidance, and provides center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
How you will contribute- Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, follow medical emergency SOPs, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care.
- Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and refer for further evaluation per occupational health/ER and EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing education with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment (e.g., EMT‑Paramedic).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. hourly wage range: $23.85 - $32.79
