Phlebotomist – The Community Blood Center

Join The Community Blood Center (CBC) to guide blood donors through the entire donation process while ensuring donors feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. Whether at a donor center or a mobile blood drive, your work directly impacts real people’s lives in our community.

• Screen and assess donor eligibility and conduct a full blood donor interview.
• Perform donor blood draw, properly label specimens, and safely dispose of sharps.
• Teach donors how to prepare for a successful blood donation, including how to stay hydrated, what to eat, and how to avoid iron deficiency.
• Adhere to all CBC quality, safety, and privacy regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work station and assist with routine donor center housekeeping.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of reliable transportation required.
• EMT, paramedic, LPN, CNA, or M.A. experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate attitude.
• Attention to detail, teachability, and reliability.
