Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant)

Join Target as a Guest Advocate, where you will help families discover the joy of everyday life. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests, answering questions, and resolving concerns.

As a Guest Advocate, you will:

• Communicate and interact with guests to build a welcoming experience
• Solve problems and make decisions to positively impact the guest experience
• Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
• Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings, and services

Your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
• Creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests and helping with their needs
• Scanning and bagging guest items efficiently and accurately
• Working efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
• Understand and showing guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App
• Being familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and knowing how to direct the guest to enroll, activate, and use these features

• Enjoys interacting and helping others
• Thrives in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role
• Is open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts

You should have:

• Effective communication skills, including using positive language and being attentive to guests' needs
• A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
