IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst

The IT Business Analyst will collaborate closely with internal customers, business partners, and external application vendors to understand and support business processes, workflows, and their alignment with current and future software solutions. In this role, the IT-Business Analyst will be responsible for comprehending and addressing business needs by providing technical solutions through creating detailed business requirements, testing, and system documentation.
We seek a qualified candidate who can effectively translate organizational needs into positive business outcomes, while recognizing the impact on our growing global organization. This individual will drive the implementation of projects ensuring policies and procedures are consistent with company goals, best practices, software compliance, and regulatory requirements.
YourEssential Functions:
- Act as a liaison between IT, application and development team and the functional business areas.
- Understand systems and business processes for various functional areas.
- Facilitate requirements gathering in a cross functional environment.
- Develop and document comprehensive business requirements to identify solutions to meet business needs.
- Document and track the current states and strategic roadmaps of business processes and requirements in cross functional business functions.
- Create functional and technical specifications based on business requirements.
- Evaluate changes to requirements and assess associated project impacts.
- Track requirements from business case to implementation while maintaining requirements for reuse.
- Provide documentation such as data models, data maps, process flow charts, knowledge base articles, etc., educate, and support production team when needed.
- Work in conjunction with the project manager to build test plans, create and update business test scripts.
- Work with vendors and service providers as a liaison for the technical team to assist in the selection of services and products that meet company requirements.
- Translate technical language into non-technical understanding.
- Work closely with our user community and IT professionals to build consensus and standards that are scalable, adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of a changing business landscape.
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to end-user requests, questions, and problems.
- Comply with SOX audit requirements and execute change management best practices.
- Drive to keep current with evolving technology and apply it to future strategic objectives.
- Ability to deliver solutions with industry leading security and efficiencies that align with Corporate objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, equivalent, or related work experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a large, multi-regional, corporate environment
- 3+ years of experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong customer support orientation
- Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
- Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP or CAPM certification
- Experience in engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
- Understanding of supply chain, light manufacturing and inventory management
