Job Description

A self-starter, team player, conscientious, and enthusiastic candidate is needed to assist the materials team with receiving, shipping, delivery, nonconforming material, and inventory tracking. The candidate will primarily support Material Handler duties for the paint department while helping out within the fabrication and machine shop department. Pending demand, the candidate may have to cover more than one department on any given day of the week;

cross training and willingness to be a team player are crucial to this role.

Essential Functions
  • Obtain Lift Truck certification
  • Less than 25% of time on 10‑hour weekly computer entry and/or processing paperwork
  • Deliver production parts to point of use
  • Follow first‑in, first‑out inventory practice
  • Communicate verbally and in clear written form
  • Use radio to coordinate with manufacturing and materials team
  • Effectively load/unload trailers and outgoing third‑party trucks using lift truck
  • Empty cardboard, garbage, recyclable, and scrap metal dump hoppers
  • Generate PO – fax PO’s to vendors
  • Move parts from sheet metal and weld shop to paint
  • Keep paint line stocked with packing material
  • Safety first: both on and off lift truck
  • Enjoy working as a team – team player
  • Ability to multitask – prioritize with more than one task pending
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Lift truck/forklift experience preferred or ability to obtain forklift driver’s license upon hire
  • Ability to multitask – prioritize demand/need with more than one task pending
  • Position requires a team player who is considered a self‑starter with positive attitude
  • General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office:
    Word, Outlook (email), & Excel)
  • Legible writing and clear oral communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Dexterity to sit on lift truck up to 10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
  • Willingness to work overtime to satisfy production demand
