Job DescriptionBio Life Plasma Services invites candidates to be part of our Plasma Donation Centers. Every day, donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma we collect becomes life‑changing medicines. Your role will support center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), reporting to the Plasma Center Manager.
About the RoleYou will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will be familiar with plasma collection regulations and healthcare manufacturing environments. You will follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
HowYou Will Contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings, donor safety, and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate certificate from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), or physician assistant (PA).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑required basic IV therapy competency.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage range (U.S.) $31.92 – $43.89
The hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The wage will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
U.S. employees are eligible for short‑term incentives and benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits. Employees also receive up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year and up to 120 hours of paid vacation upon hire.
